25 Lokakuu 2023 Kawasaki attends 2023 Japan Mobility Show

The Mobility Show is the one of the premiere vehicle expos in Japan and Kawasaki attended to unveil a number of new models destined for a variety of world markets including Asia while the President and Managing Executive Officer of Kawasaki Motors, Ltd. – Mr Hiroshi Ito - delivered the keynote speech.  

Exhibiting the MEGURO S1, W230, KLX230 and Ninja ZX-10R 40th Anniversary Edition plus Ninja ZX-4RR 40th Anniversary Edition, the model line-up was diverse while the inclusion of Meguro aligned with the centenary of a brand now part of the Kawasaki portfolio.

Since 1924, "Meguro" has been a famous brand in Japan synonymous with high performance and high quality. Inheriting its 100-year tradition, the 2024 MEGURO S250 is a single-cylinder sport model primarily aimed at Asian markets based on the style of the 1964 Meguro SG.

A retro sports model that inherits the pedigree of the Kawasaki W series, the W230 that was also debuted is equipped with an air-cooled 4-stroke SOHC single-cylinder engine housed in an orthodox steel double cradle frame. A round headlight, teardrop fuel tank, spoked wheels and steel fenders combine to embody the universal styling beauty of Kawasaki W motorcycles. The same capacity, but a world apart in terms of style and riding environment, a KLX230 off-roader for 2024 was also unveiled. 

To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Ninja, the Ninja ZX-10R and Ninja ZX-4RR were shown in the flesh for the first time at Tokyo as 40th Anniversary Editions. Reproducing the colouring and graphics of the ZXR series, both the Ninja ZX-4RR and Ninja ZX-10R 40th Anniversary Editions will be released for sale in Japan soon.

In his speech, Mr Ito highlighted the 70th anniversary of Kawasaki's motorcycle business and the 50th anniversary of the KX brand. He also mentioned that Tradition and Innovation are among Kawasaki's core brand values. Tradition in the form of the Meguro models and brand plus innovation in the form of new motive power including Hydrogen power development as part of HySE (Hydrogen Small mobility & Engine technology) research.

The final promise from Mr Ito was that Kawasaki - “will continue to create Tradition and Innovation.”
